Dr. Robert Grover received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, after earning a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Dr. Grover is a firm believer in the value of continuing education, and is currently enrolled in an intensive advanced training program at the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Grover was a television news reporter. He began his career with an internship with PBS's McNeil/Lehrer Newshour in New York City, then worked for the NBC and CBS affiliates in Salt Lake City and later Orlando (Channel 6). After a fulfilling career in broadcast journalism, Dr. Grover returned to school at Brevard Community College before moving to Gainesville with his family for full-time studies at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
In the middle of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Grover spent two years in France and Switzerland as a full-time church missionary.
Following missionary service, Dr. Grover met his wife Melissa in the marching band at BYU, where she played clarinet, and he directed the band as drum major. The Grovers recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. They live in Suntree with three of their four children, ages nine to nineteen. Their oldest son attends Brigham Young University.
Dr. Grover is thrilled with his decision many years ago to begin the long process of changing career paths, and is so glad he did! "I love dentistry, and I love the people my team and I are blessed to serve through dentistry!"
